Description:

 

The OpenText Extended ECM Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting OpenText xECM solutions integrated with enterprise platforms like SAP, Microsoft SharePoint, and Office 365. This role bridges technical ECM capabilities with business process optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation & Integration:

Install, configure, and administer OpenText xECM for SAP, Microsoft O365, and other platforms.

Integrate xECM with SAP modules (S/4HANA, ECC, Ariba, SuccessFactors) and Microsoft applications (SharePoint, Teams).

Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) via OTDS and manage secure access controls.

Development & Customization:

Design and develop workflows, reports, and Smart UI interfaces using OpenText Content Server.

Customize metadata models, taxonomies, folder structures, and lifecycle configurations.

Use ABAP, JavaScript, SQL, and REST/SOAP APIs for deep integration and automation.

Consulting & Strategy:

Conduct workshops with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements.

Architect digital solutions that align with business goals and compliance needs.

Recommend best-fit solutions and document design choices with pros/cons analysis.

Support & Maintenance:

Provide production and admin support, including change and release management.

Troubleshoot issues related to document archiving, SAP links, and performance.

Maintain documentation for configurations, customizations, and processes.

Collaboration & Leadership:

Coordinate with offshore teams and mentor junior consultants.

Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Participate in full project lifecycle implementations and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

4+ years of experience with OpenText xECM and Content Server.

Experience with SAP integrations (S/4HANA, ECC, ArchiveLink, ILM).

Proficiency in ABAP, JavaScript, SQL, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).

Familiarity with OTDS, AppWorks, and Smart UI.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

OpenText xECM Certification.

SAP Associate or Professional Certifications.

Experience with Microsoft O365, SharePoint, and Azure.

Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOX).

Experience in utilities, finance, or government sectors.
