Description:
OMD EMEA is seeking a motivated and experienced People Advisor to join its People team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of one of the world’s leading media networks, supporting employees and managers across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. The role is hybrid, based in Greater London, with a work pattern of three days in the office and two days remote.
As a People Advisor, you will provide operational HR support, focusing on employee relations, learning and development coordination, engagement initiatives, and the ongoing improvement of policies and procedures. This role demands an individual who is highly organized, empathetic, solution-oriented, and confident in dealing with employees at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations (ER):
Advise and coach managers and employees on HR policies including flexible working, maternity/paternity, absence, and performance management.
Manage ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances, and wellbeing support.
Maintain and update HR policies in line with current employment legislation and best practices.
Support Business Partners with performance and talent management initiatives.
Ensure right-to-work compliance for new hires.
Employee Engagement:
Deliver effective and welcoming induction sessions to new joiners.
Prepare quarterly insight reports using feedback from onboarding and exit interviews.
Participate in engagement and wellbeing projects to promote inclusion and retention.
Learning & Development:
Coordinate and track internal and external training programs.
Maintain training records and schedules.
Deliver internal training sessions to support personal and professional development.
Additional Duties:
Participate in wider agency and group initiatives.
Co-lead presentations and offer ad-hoc support to the People Team.
Engage in continuous improvement efforts to enhance HR processes.
Qualifications & Attributes:
Strong experience in generalist HR, ideally in a media or fast-paced corporate setting.
Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
Hands-on experience managing ER cases.
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work across teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and ideally HRIS systems such as SuccessFactors.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable presenting HR updates to teams and business units.

Working Hours & Flexibility:

Standard hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM with core hours of 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM and flexibility around start and end times.
