Planning Manager

An excellent opportunity to join a first class Blue Chip global organisation that is the a significant land owner within the United Kingdom. This is an opportunity for a Town Planner or Development Surveyor to play a valuable role within the lifeblood of their Land business, to manage major projects front end at acquisitions and planning stages of development.

• Create and drive planning strategies to ensure best value for each strategic land asset.
• Be effective in the promotion of the land asset to achieve a local plan allocation and/or planning consent.
• Discuss development proposals for sites with local planning authorities and other relevant bodies.
• Strong Stakeholder Management and relationship driven role with Local Authorities, Local communities.
• Manage external professional consultant teams & oversee budget reporting to achieve successful outcomes and achieve objectives.
• Submit planning appeals and manage the appeal process.
• Engage and maintain strong lines of communication with landowners and/or agents.
• Support the Land team and business in the identification of new land opportunities and assist in site acquisition.
