We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Practice Nurse to join a well-established, supportive GP surgery in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role or take on a long-term locum position—depending on your availability and career goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and chronic disease management in a primary care setting
• Administer vaccinations, wound care, and cervical screening
• Provide health promotion and lifestyle advice to patients
• Assist in the management of long-term conditions such as asthma, COPD, and diabetes
• Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider practice team to ensure effective patient care

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a UK GP surgery or primary care setting
• Confident in using clinical systems (EMIS/SystmOne ideal)
• Skilled in chronic disease management and treatment room duties
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
