We're expanding into Coventry with a brand-new office and are looking for a Principal Product Safety Engineer to join our growing team. This is a rare opportunity to work on cutting-edge submarine systems that are critical to national security.

What You'll Do
 

As a Principal Product Safety Engineer, you will:

• 
  Work in an Integrated Development Team, ensuring safety is embedded across all engineering stages.
• 
  Deliver hazard identification and analysis studies.
• 
  Produce and contribute to safety reports.
• 
  Ensure projects comply with the Safety Management System.
• 
  Collaborate with other engineering teams to drive safety across complex submarine systems.

This role offers exposure to every aspect of safety management: from requirements capture and hazard analysis to safety case delivery and continuous improvement.
 

What We're Looking For
 

• 
  Understanding of Safety and Systems Engineering and the Engineering Life Cycle.
• 
  Strong teamwork skills with the ability to also work independently.
• 
  Flexible and proactive approach with excellent communication skills.
• 
  Experience in maritime defence safety engineering (ideal) - but candidates from other safety-critical industries are welcome.
