Procurement Manager

My client is a leading industry F&B business who are known for their quality product, seasonal changes and developing with the Food and Drink industry. With a site just outside of London, they have an exceptional culture and a long standing cause for development.

As Procurement Manager, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of procurement and stock control—managing goods in and out, monitoring seasonal trends, and working closely with internal teams to ensure supply chain efficiency. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on precision, pace, and problem-solving

The Procurement Manager responsibilities:

• Manage purchasing of all stock lines across multiple categories, ensuring availability while maintaining lean stock levels
• Lead and develop the purchasing team, ensuring continual growth and development.
• Monitor product seasonality and trends to plan and adjust buying accordingly
• Analyze stock consumption and movement to forecast demand and avoid over/under-ordering
• Work closely with the warehouse, production, and commercial teams to manage goods in/out processes
• Negotiate with suppliers to maintain cost efficiency and high service levels
• Implement purchasing systems and controls to streamline processes and improve traceability
• Liaise with finance to ensure accurate invoicing and reconciliation
• Prepare reports on stock turnover, wastage, and purchase efficiency

The ideal Procurement Manager Candidate:

• Proven experience in a Purchasing, Supply Chain or Stock Management role (F&B or FMCG highly desirable)
• Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen
• Strong understanding of inventory systems and stock control processes
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with perishable goods
• Exceptional organisational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
