Project Manager

Description:

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Technical Project Manager with strong Mechanical Engineering skills to join their team in Bristol on a permanent basis.

The role will involve designing, testing, and developing bespoke products, and managing a small team.

The Technical Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

• Be a self-starter, with strong leadership skills and the ability to think outside the box and own projects
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar Project Management / Mechanical Design / Mechanical Testing / Product Development position
• Experience designing bespoke products from scratch
• Analytical mind-set and good problem-solving skills
• Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
• Knowledge of a variety of materials and manufacturing processes, – sheet metal, machining, injection moulded plastics etc.
• Strong leadership skills
• Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
