Description:
As Project Planning Engineer within ScottishPower Energy Networks (SPEN) Transmission Strategic Projects, you will be at the centre of a vibrant and evolving project delivery team responsible for development and management of project schedules within a portfolio for the multi-billion-pound future investment plan.
Schedules have, and will in future, be generated to support ‘once-in-a-generation’ Critical National Network Infrastructure Construction projects, reinforcing the existing Electrical Transmission Asset-base and expanding the Transmission Network to meet the future UK Network electricity demand and facilitate delivery of UK Net-Zero strategy.

Project workscopes vary from existing asset and system upgrades to the SPEN Transmission Network, to major new national inter-license construction projects with multiple Land & Planning, Design, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning interactions. You will work with project schedules to identify and communicate inter-dependencies and clashes, leading development of innovative programming solutions.
As part of the schedule update cycle for your portfolio, you will be required to resolve programming issues in project schedules, co-ordinating inputs from internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating Contractor Clause 31 & Clause 32 Delivery Partner schedules into the SPEN Project Schedule, identifying and highlight schedule risks and variance to internal and external stakeholders, developing mitigation scenarios where programme risk and variance is identified.
