Description:
TT Electronics, Eastleigh is hiring for a Quality Technician to carry out mechanical inspection of component parts and support with the inspection of manufactured electronic assemblies and subassemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Incoming inspection of machined and moulded parts, including aesthetics.
- Carry out First Article Inspections and produce First Article Inspection reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 standard.
- Perform internal calibration activities on instruments such as gauges and weighing scales.
- Work with external calibration contractor, when needed.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of electronic and electromechanical assemblies & subassemblies.
- Support the Quality team with investigations, audits, and customer returns.
- Promote quality awareness across production teams by providing feedback and support.
- Champion continuous improvement where opportunities have been identified.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards in line with company policies.
Qualifications, Skills And Attributes
What we're looking for:
- Experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Competent in using manual measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc), and interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection work.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Methodical, organised, and able to follow established processes.
- A team player with the ability to support wider quality and operational objectives.
The below would enhance your application but is not essential:
- Experience in aerospace, defence, or similarly regulated industries.
- Certification to IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620.
- CMM operation experience.
