Regional Business Development Manager

 

Description:

A leading national Civil Engineering contractor is seeking two Regional Business Development Managers to drive profitable growth within the UK Transport, Energy/Utilities, and Infrastructure sectors. Based in North West and South East England, these roles will focus on developing regional growth strategies, securing contracts, and expanding client relationships.

The successful candidates will report to the Group Business Development Director and will be responsible for managing client engagement from initial enquiry to contract acquisition, ensuring a robust project pipeline for £10M+ projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a regional growth strategy for both public and private sector clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the business development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with bid/tendering and estimating teams to secure profitable projects.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Transport, Energy, and Infrastructure sectors.
  • Identify and develop a pipeline of projects aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Ensure a commercially strategic approach to proposals and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development within the engineering/infrastructure sector.
  • Strong existing client relationships within the North West or South East regions.
  • Commercially savvy with the ability to develop winning strategies for contract acquisition.
  • Experience in bidding, tendering, and estimating for large-scale engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
