What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a similar role within Financial Services, either with a commercial insurer or a broker – essential.
• Proven track record of managing a profitable P&L (profit and loss) statement within the broker channel, with demonstrable distribution strategic skills.
• Strong long and short-term planning and analytical skills, with proven experience of both operational & strategic planning.
• Excellent relationship management skills and experience of building successful long-term relationships.
• People and resource management skills, with proven experience and ability in leading, inspiring and motivating high performing teams across multiple locations.
• Ability to lead and manage change successfully in an environment where navigating complex and abstract challenges are commonplace.
• Strong service ethos and proven track record in improving standards and customer service.
• Pragmatic decision maker with experience of managing and analysing data.
• ACII or other insurance qualification preferred.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.

Please be aware that this position is a Certified Function role and Senior Management Function role under the SM&CR regime, which means the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced level of background screening requirements.
