Description:
Medivet is seeking a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team at their Speke clinic, located on the outskirts of Liverpool, near the John Lennon Airport. The clinic is well-equipped with a spacious theatre, 3 consulting rooms, dental equipment, x-ray, and ultrasound. You will work alongside a supportive team that includes the Head Nurse, Vicky, and two Client Care Assistants.
This role requires an experienced Veterinary Nurse who is client-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and works to a high standard both medically and surgically. You should have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further. The role is Part-Time, working 3 days a week (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM), with 1 full weekend in 8.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team
Deliver exceptional care to clients and patients
Assist with surgeries and procedures, including pre and post-procedure activities
Lead and promote nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries
Deliver patient monitoring and care
Manage patient admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team
Oversee patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care
Dispense and check medication
Maintain professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards
Inspire and coach the team, sharing evolving practice standards and processes
Proactively support and share clinical best practices across Medivet

Skills & Experience Required:
RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care
Able to confidently lead a clinical team
Experience in implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations
Strong coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of colleagues
