Registered Veterinary Nurse

Description:

Medivet is seeking a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team at their Speke clinic, located on the outskirts of Liverpool, near the John Lennon Airport. The clinic is well-equipped with a spacious theatre, 3 consulting rooms, dental equipment, x-ray, and ultrasound. You will work alongside a supportive team that includes the Head Nurse, Vicky, and two Client Care Assistants.

This role requires an experienced Veterinary Nurse who is client-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and works to a high standard both medically and surgically. You should have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further. The role is Part-Time, working 3 days a week (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM), with 1 full weekend in 8.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team

• Deliver exceptional care to clients and patients

• Assist with surgeries and procedures, including pre and post-procedure activities

• Lead and promote nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries

• Deliver patient monitoring and care

• Manage patient admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team

• Oversee patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care

• Dispense and check medication

• Maintain professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards

• Inspire and coach the team, sharing evolving practice standards and processes

• Proactively support and share clinical best practices across Medivet

Skills & Experience Required:

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse

• Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care

• Able to confidently lead a clinical team

• Experience in implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations

• Strong coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of colleagues
