Senior Rotational Occupational Therapist

NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group is offering an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and forward-thinking Occupational Therapists to join their innovative, supportive, and highly skilled Occupational Therapy Team. The Band 6 Rotation Programme provides a chance to gain diverse experience across multiple specialties and hospital sites including Aintree, Broadgreen, and the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work across a wide range of specialties including Major Trauma, First Response, A&E, Stroke pathways, Reablement, Complex Rehabilitation, Critical Care, General acute inpatients, and Outpatients

• Conduct skilled assessments, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning to promote recovery

• Risk assessment and problem-solving to arrange complex discharges safely and efficiently

• Participate in or lead service reviews, identifying development needs and supporting Band 7 leadership

• Supervise Band 5 and assistant staff, deputise for clinical team leads

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies

• Participate in continuing professional development, regular supervision, and leadership training

Professional Development:

• Opportunity for existing Band 6s and experienced Band 5s to develop into Band 6 via appropriate training routes

• Peer support and supervision from Band 7s/8as within the departments

• Leadership and service development opportunities
