Description:

Genus ABS, a world-leading provider of bovine genetics, reproductive services, and animal health technologies, is seeking a passionate and customer-focused Reproduction Management Specialist to join their team on a fixed term contract. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work hands-on with livestock across farms in Cheshire and Clwyd, delivering essential reproductive services and fertility management support to dairy and beef customers.

As part of this position, you will work directly with farmers to improve herd fertility, contributing to the production of healthier and more productive animals that meet customers' business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly visit customer farms to conduct heat detection and review computer records, ensuring correct identification of animals for artificial insemination.
  • Perform artificial insemination (AI) of cattle following genetic plans and best practices to optimize herd productivity.
  • Partner closely with farm teams to enhance herd fertility performance, advising on reproductive strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring customers see the value of Genus ABS’ products and services, strengthening customer loyalty.
  • Make informed decisions based on genetic plans, observed animal behaviour, and herd data.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure continuous improvement in service quality, identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Full driving licence (ability to travel to customer farms across Cheshire & Clwyd).
  • Previous experience working with livestock or large animals – essential.
  • Ability to work on a rota basis, including early mornings and weekends (7 days a week, with shifts planned a month in advance).
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Interest or background in agriculture, animal science, or veterinary support is advantageous.
