Genus PLC, a global leader in animal biotechnology and genetic improvement, is currently seeking a Reproduction Management Specialist to join their team on a full-time, on-site, permanent basis in Cheshire, UK. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about agriculture and animal health, with a strong customer-focused mindset and a willingness to work outdoors in a dynamic and impactful field environment.
As a Reproduction Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering reproductive services on customer farms. You will build long-term professional relationships with clients and colleagues, work independently to monitor and manage herd fertility, and contribute to the overall improvement of livestock productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-farm visits to detect heats, analyze records, and perform artificial insemination on selected animals.
Partner with farm teams to enhance fertility management, leading to healthier, more productive cows.
Provide outstanding customer service and support animal welfare practices, reinforcing loyalty to Genus ABS products and services.
Utilize available data and animal behavior insights to make informed reproductive decisions and identify performance improvement strategies.
Requirements:
Valid full driving license.
Previous experience working with livestock or large animals is essential.
Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including early mornings and weekends, with shifts planned one month in advance.
