Description:

The role will specifically focus on a study to enhance safety and equity in maternity care that entails qualitative research exploring access to and experiences of Antenatal Booking in Greater Manchester.

This project will use qualitative research methods, partnering with community organisations and women in areas with high rates of late booking in Greater Manchester. Working with Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise organizations, we will:
 

  • Identify barriers to timely booking for women in Greater Manchester, especially those in communities with high late booking rates.
  • Explore the challenges faced by stakeholders in providing care to underserved communities.
  • Co-produce a booking pathway for women at risk of late booking, with recommendations for necessary resources, tools, and practices; and
  • Contribute to improving outcomes by sharing best practices across the region.
