As the Reward Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving and implementing the company’s total reward agenda, ensuring that all compensation, benefits, and reward programs align with business goals and attract, retain, and engage top talent. Reporting directly to the Head of Reward, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to People Partners and senior leaders, ensuring that the reward offering remains competitive, compliant, and future-focused.

This position offers significant exposure across multiple business areas, allowing you to collaborate closely with leadership, HR, finance, and communications teams to create impactful reward initiatives that make the company a true employer of choice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive total reward strategy aligned with organisational objectives.

  • Conduct job evaluations, salary benchmarking, and provide analytical support for promotions, pay reviews, and role changes.

  • Partner with People Partners and senior leadership to design and deliver fair and competitive reward solutions.

  • Manage key reward processes such as pay reviews, bonus cycles, long-term incentive plans (LTIPs), and benefits renewals.

  • Ensure compliance with pay governance frameworks, keeping up to date with regulations around equal pay, pay transparency, and working time directives.

  • Collaborate with the communications team to design and deliver engaging internal content to help employees understand and appreciate their reward packages.

  • Lead data-driven decision-making by leveraging insights and analytics for pay, bonus, and gender pay reporting.

  • Partner with external vendors and advisors to benchmark market data and ensure the company’s total reward offerings remain best-in-class.

  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.

  • Work with finance to monitor costs, salary budgets, and reward-related accruals as part of the overall business planning process.


Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience managing total reward frameworks in large, complex organisations.

  • Strong knowledge of job evaluation, pay benchmarking, and compensation structures.

  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively across all levels.

  • Experience working with reward systems such as Workday, WTW, or Darwin (preferred).

  • Confident navigating fast-paced environments and managing multiple reward projects simultaneously.

  • Passionate about designing equitable and engaging reward strategies that support employee wellbeing and business growth.
