Road Tanker Technician

Description:

Scania Group is seeking an experienced HGV Road Tanker Technician to join their Falkirk team. This role involves servicing, maintenance, and repairs on road tankers in the petrochemical sector, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence. The position offers career development through in-house training and access to Scania’s National Learning Academy, allowing technicians to increase earnings and skills over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect road tankers and highlight/rectify defective equipment

• Detect and rectify running repairs on road tankers

• Conduct Vapour Tightness Test (VTT) and ADR Leakproof tests

• Carry out Health Check Tests on road tankers

• Ensure compliance with SLP standards and ADR regulations

• Operate safely in line with company health & safety protocols

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Petrochemical Road Tanker industry

• Qualified SLP Inspector for Liquid Fuels & LPG

• Competence with SLP standards and ADR regulations

• HGV1 and ADR licence essential

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
