elb recruit is partnering with a leading civil engineering contractor to appoint a highly motivated Technical Sales Engineer to drive growth across South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional to join a progressive organisation known for its innovative, sustainable, and low-disruption ground engineering solutions.
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will take ownership of the full sales cycle, from identifying and qualifying leads to conducting site assessments, designing tailored engineering solutions, preparing quotations, closing deals, and ensuring seamless project handovers to the operations team. You will also provide after-sales support to maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in South Wales
Conduct on-site assessments and provide expert advice on engineering solutions
Design technical solutions based on survey data and prepare accurate quotations
Manage the full sales process from lead to close
Ensure smooth project handover to operations for delivery
Provide after-sales support and address client concerns effectively
Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system
Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
Proven track record in technical, engineering, construction, or related sales roles
Relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or surveying
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
Proficiency in virtual tools and CRM software
Full UK driving licence
Proactive, self-driven, and target-oriented
Base salary: £50,000–£60,000 per year (approx. £4,167–£5,000 per month)
Commission scheme with realistic earning potential of £100,000+
