Ramsay Health Care UK, a leading private healthcare provider with a global reputation, is seeking a Scrub Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join the dedicated Theatre team at Mount Stuart Hospital in Torquay. You will be responsible for assisting in a wide range of surgical procedures, with special focus on General, Gynaecology, Ophthalmic, Cosmetic, and Urological surgeries. Working in a high-tech environment equipped with laminar flow systems and integrated theatre technology, you will contribute to clinical excellence while being supported in your professional development through the Ramsay Academy and opportunities across Ramsay's network of 30+ hospitals in the UK.

Your role will include direct clinical care, supporting surgeons in the scrub role, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to uphold the highest standards in patient safety and outcomes. If you are an experienced Scrub Nurse or ODP, flexible in attitude, and passionate about patient-centered care, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide scrub assistance in surgeries across multiple disciplines

• Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

• Participate in team briefings and patient safety protocols

• Support and mentor less experienced staff

• Contribute to continuous improvement and adherence to “The Ramsay Way” values

Requirements:

• NMC or HCPC registration (essential)

• Prior scrub experience in General, Gynaecology, Ophthalmic, Cosmetic, and Urological surgeries

• SFA (Surgical First Assist) qualification is desirable but not mandatory

• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills

• Positive, empathetic, and patient-centered attitude

• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
