Walker Lovell is seeking a Senior Associate – Non-Contentious Construction to join a leading UK and international law firm’s Projects, Development & Construction team. The role focuses on advising on high-profile, complex construction and development projects across sectors such as real estate, housing & accommodation, education, healthcare, energy, and renewables.

This role offers the opportunity to lead significant legal matters, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to business development and sector engagement. The position is hybrid-based in London, with opportunities to work on UK and international projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead drafting and negotiation of a wide range of non-contentious construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, and bespoke agreements.

• Advise on complex development arrangements, due diligence, and large-scale projects across diverse sectors.

• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, supporting their professional development.

• Play a visible role in business development and sector engagement, enhancing both personal and firm profile.

Skills & Experience Required:

• 5+ years’ PQE in non-contentious construction law.

• Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and bespoke agreements.

• Experience advising investors, developers, funders, or housing and accommodation providers.

• Commercial mindset, team-oriented, and confidence to lead complex matters.

• Strong negotiation, drafting, and legal advisory skills.
