Senior Civil Engineering Technician

Description:

Sweco UK is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Technician to support its Mission Critical digital transformation strategy by enhancing its BIM modelling capabilities. As part of a global engineering team, you will contribute to the design and development of mission-critical infrastructure, including data centres and cloud facilities worth over €20bn, across 20 campuses in 11 countries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models in Civil 3D, drawings in AutoCAD, and cache files in Navisworks.
• Set up, manage, and provide training on Autodesk Construction Cloud Common Data Environment.
• Ensure that BIM standards and modelling quality meet client requirements.
• Work within a collaborative team environment under the guidance of senior personnel.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and mentoring to colleagues.
• Take responsibility for the quality of BIM models and associated outputs.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud is desirable.
• Strong experience in BIM model preparation, including documentation.
• Ability to federate models and manage coordination using Navisworks.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively and produce clear reports.
