Senior Data Engineer

Description:

ITV is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build high-performance, scalable data solutions that drive business-critical analytics, reporting, and AI-driven insights. Key Responsibilities:

✅ Data Pipeline Development – Design and build end-to-end data pipelines for complex transformations and large-scale processing.
✅ Problem-Solving & Innovation – Tackle real-world data challenges, optimizing data solutions to enhance business outcomes.
✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with data product teams, analysts, and architects to develop optimal solutions.
✅ Data Reliability & Quality – Implement automated testing, monitoring, and validation frameworks to ensure data integrity.
✅ Mentorship & Leadership – Mentor junior engineers, shape best practices, and contribute to key technical decisions.

Key Requirements:

✔ Proven experience in data engineering with large-scale processing.
✔ Deep expertise in PySpark, optimizing Spark jobs and handling large datasets efficiently.
✔ Cloud experience (GCP or AWS), working with BigQuery, Airflow, and messaging queues.
✔ Strong coding skills in Python and SQL (Scala is a plus but not required).
✔ Track record of building scalable, maintainable data pipelines, with a solid understanding of architecture and performance optimization.
✔ Experience with production-grade code using CI/CD deployment (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
