Senior Engineer

Description:

RGB Recruitment is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a large-scale highways project in Devon on behalf of a leading Civil Engineering Main Contractor. This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in a high-profile infrastructure scheme while mentoring and coaching an existing team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Lead and manage project site operations while ensuring technical requirements are met.
✔ Coach and mentor Setting Out and Section Engineers.
✔ Review technical drawings & specifications, ensuring all details align with project requirements.
✔ Identify and report inconsistencies in design information to the Project Manager.
✔ Undertake quantity take-offs for materials from drawings.
✔ Maintain site diaries and conduct daily Health & Safety inspections.
✔ Raise technical queries and liaise with designers to resolve issues.
✔ Ensure all Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) are in place and adhered to.
✔ Prepare & review Method Statements and Risk Assessments to maintain Safe Systems of Work.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

🎯 Minimum HND in Civil Engineering (Degree preferred).
🎯 At least 5 years of site experience in a relevant role.
🎯 Essential Certifications: SSSTS / CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid.
🎯 Strong technical knowledge of setting out, construction methodologies, and project management.
