Description:
Cumberland Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Highways Network Technician to support the design, delivery, and maintenance of highway improvement projects. The role focuses on asset management, winter maintenance, and providing technical advice across the Highways and Transport service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, planning, and delivery of highway improvement projects.
Manage and maintain highways assets, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders within the Highways and Transport service.
Contribute to innovative service delivery and continuous improvement of operations.
Support winter maintenance planning and execution.
Required Experience & Skills:
HND/HNC in a transportation, civil engineering, or construction-related field.
Significant experience in highway design or local government.
Knowledge of national highway standards and construction contracts.
Familiarity with asset management systems.
Collaborative and proactive approach with a focus on professional growth.
