Senior Interior Designer

Description:

SGS Design Ltd is a Kent-based interior design studio specializing in creating high-end residential homes with a strong focus on aesthetics, attention to detail, and client satisfaction. The studio seeks a talented and creative Senior Interior Designer to lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring design excellence and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead interior design projects from initial concept through to final installation

• Develop detailed designs including space planning, concept presentations, material selections, and FF&E specifications

• Prepare and review construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, lighting layouts, bathroom design, and joinery details

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring completion within budget and timeline

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout design and construction

• Conduct site visits to oversee design implementation and ensure design intent is achieved

• Work with the Procurement Manager to manage project budgets

• Manage timelines and project documentation efficiently

• Mentor and guide junior designers to foster a creative and collaborative studio environment

• Contribute to business development, including proposals and client presentations

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant interior design experience with a strong portfolio across various projects

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture design, and construction methods

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management abilities
