Senior International Tax Manager

This multinational engineering and consulting services business employs over 10,000 people across more than 25 countries worldwide.

It has a good sized team of highly qualified and specialised tax professionals based at Group HQ and around the world. The role of Senior Manager, International Tax has responsibility for managing all tax issues arising from the operations in the Africa Business Unit, and the supporting regional offices. You play a key role in aligning local, international and UK tax considerations on tenders and projects, both commercial and strategic.

Key duties:

• Provide input into operational structure and tax strategy of projects during the entire lifecycle, including recommendations on structuring, pricing and contractual terms.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal/external reporting requirements.
• Provide advice to the business and the wider tax and finance team on multi-jurisdictional tax matters
• Active involvement in planning initiatives, including country set up and exit.
• Manages audits and investigations through to settlement.
• Assist with the management of the effective tax rate.
• Set clear and realistic personal objectives for direct reports.
• Ensure the standardisation of & compliance with functional policies, processes and systems
• Strategic business partnering and building of professional relationship with all stakeholders

About you:

• ACA/CTA/ADIT qualified or equivalent
• Big 4 trained in corporate tax
• Proven track record in international corporate tax
• Previous in-house tax experience an advantage
• Language skills, French or Portuguese preferred but not essential
