Senior Investment Manager

Description:

Nest Invest is looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Investment Manager to oversee and drive the performance of its Private Equity portfolio, which currently stands at £1.3bn, with an additional £700m already committed for new investments. This role is critical in monitoring, evaluating, and evolving the portfolio while identifying and realizing new private equity opportunities.

The Nest Invest team is growing rapidly, expecting an overall asset base of £100bn by 2030 and £200bn by 2040. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-growing investment environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Monitor and evaluate existing private equity mandates, tracking performance indicators and preparing reports for committees and senior management
✔ Analyze financial models from private equity partners for co-investment opportunities and long-term projections
✔ Conduct research on private equity markets and maintain relationships with managers
✔ Assess and mitigate risks, including ESG, operational, reporting, and investment risks
✔ Identify, model, and evaluate new private equity investment opportunities
✔ Maintain compliance with FCA regulations and internal governance requirements

Requirements:

✅ Proven experience as a Private Equity Portfolio / Investment Manager
✅ Expertise in third-party private market manager oversight and performance monitoring
✅ Strong financial modeling skills, investment risk assessment, and valuation methodologies
✅ Ability to analyze private equity co-investments and direct PE transactions
✅ Proficiency in market research, industry analysis, and competitive landscape assessment
✅ Excellent relationship management skills to maintain and grow partnerships
