Psychiatry UK, the UK’s leading provider of digital psychiatry services, is hiring a Senior Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This remote role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-growth organisation making a significant impact on mental health care delivery through online services.

As a vital member of the team, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial processes, reporting, reconciliations, and play a leading role in credit control management. This position reports to the Financial Controller and is perfect for a qualified finance professional looking to thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly finance packs and ensure reconciliation of all control account balances.

  • Create and manage complex overhead accruals and prepayments across all entities.

  • Manage monthly group recharges and produce quarterly VAT returns.

  • Lead and build a credit control team to recover debts efficiently with fortnightly reporting.

  • Support budgeting processes, financial audits, and year-end work in progress analysis.

  • Provide insightful project expenditure reports to project managers and management.

  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.

  • Develop and document new SOPs as processes evolve within the finance team.

  • Deliver timely and accurate management reports, risk register updates, and assist in cash flow and budget monitoring.

  • Participate in ad hoc financial projects and support strategic financial initiatives.


Essential Requirements:

  • Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA

  • Advanced Excel skills with a strong command of financial data analysis

  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct and other Sage financial products

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure

  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • Excellent communication skills and a self-driven mindset


Desirable Experience:

  • Prior experience in a healthcare or health-tech environment

  • Working knowledge of PAYE and VAT legislation

  • Experience in debtor management and leading small finance teams

  • Understanding of financial operations in growing businesses
