Senior Planner

 

Description:

Insight Recruitment is hiring multiple experienced Senior Planners to support large-scale projects across the UK. These professionals will play a key role in developing, managing, and maintaining project schedules to ensure efficiency and client satisfaction. This role is ideal for individuals with strong expertise in Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management (EVM). Contract and permanent employment options are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed baseline/master programs in Primavera P6 and obtain client approvals.
  • Create tender programs in alignment with project requirements.
  • Integrate cost and resource loading into project schedules.
  • Generate manpower histograms, KPIs, SPI, CPI, S-curves, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Monitor project progress, update schedules weekly, and identify risks, delays, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct critical path and float analysis and develop recovery strategies.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, project managers, and stakeholders for seamless project execution.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings and provide schedule updates.
  • Manage schedule impacts due to project changes and associated risks.
  • Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) to track performance and generate reports.
  • Conduct program health checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Review subcontractor schedules and create site look-ahead and construction schedules.
  • Track design progress, procurement status, and long-lead items.
  • Prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
  • Develop target and mitigation programs to manage project delays and achieve objectives.
  • Issue weekly and monthly reports for both clients and internal teams.
  • Mentor junior planners, fostering knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Project Director with additional project-related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Planner in construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
  • Expertise in Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules with cost and resource integration.
  • Experience with critical path analysis, float analysis, and delay assessments.
  • Strong understanding of contract claims, EOTs, and TIA preparation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in preparing progress reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
