Senior Post Transaction Consultant

We are currently working with a leading UK pensions consultancy to support their search for a Senior Consultant to join its market-leading Post Transaction team, supporting trustees and sponsors as they navigate the journey from buy-in through to buy-out and ultimate scheme wind-up. The team is recognised for its technical expertise, project management capability and strong relationships across the pensions and insurance market.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and support pension schemes through buy-in, buy-out and wind-up projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trustees, sponsors, insurers and professional advisers.
• Project manage multiple workstreams, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met.
• Identify risks, resolve issues and provide pragmatic solutions throughout the transition process.
• Contribute to new business activities, tenders and wider team strategy.
• Support, coach and mentor junior team members.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience within pensions consulting or a bulk annuity provider environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK pensions legislation, pension scheme wind-ups and insurer post-transaction processes.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience presenting to clients and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
