Description:

Cavendish Nuclear, a leader in the UK nuclear industry and a part of Babcock International Group, is seeking a Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist to join their team in Warrington, Cheshire. This role is crucial in ensuring strategic procurement value and operational excellence while developing robust supply chain solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives in terms of safety, cost, schedule, and quality
✔ Manage and lead a procurement team to drive high performance and efficiency
✔ Lead cross-functional teams to ensure procurement deliverables are met in line with cost, quality, and programme requirements
✔ Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to align objectives and goals
✔ Ensure supplier performance management, cost efficiency, and contractual compliance
✔ Develop a resilient supply chain to support business growth and objectives
✔ Draft and review contract terms and conditions, including familiarity with NEC contract models

Essential Experience:

📌 Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
📌 Experience in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations
📌 Proven track record in cost modelling, commercial audits, and forecasting
📌 Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
📌 Good understanding of contract terms and supplier performance management

Qualifications:

🎓 Membership of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent is desirable but not essential
