Senior Quantity Surveyor

 

Description:

In this role, you will take full responsibility for the commercial management of a project or section of a larger project. You will oversee all financial and contractual aspects, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and in line with company standards and best practice.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Lead all quantity surveying duties, including measurement, valuation, and agreement of work sections.
  • Prepare and manage interim applications for payment and certification.
  • Draft, manage, and settle subcontracts and prepare final accounts.
  • Manage and report monthly costs, cash flow, and commercial risks.
  • Advise project management on contractual implications and commercial strategy.
  • Prepare and manage monthly contract reviews, management accounts, and business plan data.
  • Support and mentor junior commercial staff.
  • Ensure that contract documents are executed and change control processes are implemented effectively.
     

Qualifications And Experience
 

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience leading commercial management for small to medium projects or significant sections of large-scale projects
  • Essential - NEC Experience
  • Experience in geotechnical / piling preferred
