Description:
Brio Digital is seeking two experienced Senior .NET Software Engineers to join a leading HealthTech consultancy supporting a large-scale national digital transformation programme within the public health sector. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to projects that have a direct and meaningful impact on healthcare technology and services across the UK.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable web applications and APIs using modern technologies such as .NET Core, React, and Azure. You’ll work closely with cross-functional agile teams, collaborating with product owners, designers, and data specialists to build secure, high-performance systems that integrate with complex healthcare data infrastructures.
Your responsibilities will include contributing to architectural decisions, ensuring code quality through automated testing, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and continuously improving delivery practices. You’ll also mentor junior team members and participate in design reviews, helping shape the technical direction of the project.
Develop and maintain APIs and web applications using .NET Core, C#, and React.
Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver Azure-hosted solutions.
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best software engineering practices.
Integrate applications with complex NHS and healthcare data systems and APIs.
Improve architecture, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement processes.
Contribute to technical documentation and ensure system scalability and performance.
Strong experience with C#/.NET Core in production environments.
Proficiency with React and TypeScript for front-end development.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Functions, DevOps).
Proven experience working in NHS, healthcare, or government data integration projects.
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and unit testing frameworks.
Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with attention to detail.
Experience with HL7/FHIR or other healthcare data standards.
Knowledge of serverless architecture, Docker, or Kubernetes (AKS).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Passion for improving technology capability within the public sector.
