Senior Technical Advisor

JDRoss is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Advisor specializing in Subsea Cable Installation to join our client's team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, providing expert technical advice and playing a key role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of subsea cable installations.

In this role, you will be responsible for offering technical guidance, reviewing work plans, conducting assessments, and ensuring projects adhere to industry standards and best practices. This is a client-facing advisory role that requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide technical expertise and advice on subsea cable installation techniques and best practices.
✅ Review and assess contractors’ work plans, identifying risks and issues while recommending practical solutions.
✅ Conduct site surveys and environmental assessments to evaluate seabed conditions and installation challenges.
✅ Identify and develop risk mitigation strategies for potential issues in subsea installation projects.
✅ Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
✅ Prepare and review technical documentation, including installation procedures, technical reports, and project deliverables.

Qualifications & Expertise:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
📋 Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in subsea cable installation or similar projects.
⚙️ Deep understanding of subsea cable systems, installation equipment, and best practices in the field.
🔎 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly for identifying technical risks.
📢 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
🌍 Familiarity with industry regulations, health & safety guidelines, and environmental compliance standards related to subsea projects.
