Description:
Galliford Try, one of the UK’s leading construction groups, is seeking a Site Agent to join their Environment Business in West Yorkshire, with site operations centered around Normanton, Rotherham, and Braithwell. This full-time role arises from a major undertaking under the Storm Overflow Reduction Programme, which includes multiple projects across investigation and construction phases.
The Site Agent will play a pivotal role in overseeing multiple projects, ensuring they meet strict safety, financial, and regulatory standards. This leadership position involves direct project delivery management, resource coordination, design assessment, contract compliance, and interaction with various internal departments and external stakeholders.
As part of the Infrastructure Waste Water Environment division, the successful candidate will lead with professionalism and foster a collaborative project environment, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Oversee project schedules, critical milestones, and progress
Work with planners to develop and maintain detailed project programmes
Address and resolve design and project-specific challenges
Coordinate internal and external resources to meet project goals
Manage procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontractors
Attend and contribute to internal and external project meetings
Conduct regular site visits and monitor on-ground developments
Ensure all contract documentation (including “as built” drawings, O&M manuals) is completed as per requirements
Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and CDM regulations
