Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Survey Estimator to join a leading telecommunications and network infrastructure provider based in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys working in the field, engaging with customers, and turning project requirements into accurate and commercially viable solutions.
You must also be open for international travel to other sites at times.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site surveys for telecoms, fibre, network, and infrastructure projects
- Assess project requirements, technical constraints, and installation feasibility
- Produce detailed quotations, cost estimates, and scope of works
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Project Delivery teams
- Identify risks and propose practical solutions during the survey phase
- Create survey reports, drawings, and project documentation
- Support tender submissions and pre-sales activities
- Ensure projects comply with customer requirements and industry standards
Requirements
- Experience in site surveying, estimation, or pre-sales engineering
- Background in telecommunications, fibre optics, structured cabling, networking, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to produce accurate costings and project estimates
- Strong understanding of installation methodologies and project delivery
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and survey documentation tools
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
- Fibre network deployment experience
- Structured cabling design knowledge
- Experience with public sector or infrastructure tenders
- Understanding of network, CCTV, security, or wireless technologies
