Software Engineer

SGI is seeking a Software Engineer with hands-on experience in Sophis to join their team remotely in the United Kingdom. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in financial systems and proficiency in Excel-based and programming tools such as VBA and C# .Net.

The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to support and enhance Sophis-related functionalities and ensure robust software solutions that align with complex financial services requirements. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of front-office trading applications or risk management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software components integrated with Sophis systems.

• Use Excel and VBA to support and enhance existing financial models and reporting tools.

• Leverage C# .Net for back-end and UI development tasks where necessary.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand technical and functional requirements.

• Troubleshoot issues and implement efficient, scalable solutions within the trading platform environment.

Required Skills:

• Experience working with Sophis (financial software platform).

• Proficiency in Excel and VBA scripting.

• Strong knowledge of C# .Net for application development.

• Solid understanding of financial markets or related systems is preferred.
