Strategic Category Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert in contract drafting and negotiations with major global suppliers.

• Support Global Category Managers in executing and communicating strategic procurement plans, including supplier management activities.

• Ensure compliance with procurement best practices across the sourcing process.

• Manage complex procurement projects by creating and leading RFIs and RFPs for multi-million-pound tenders.

• Collaborate with legal teams and senior stakeholders to drive strategic procurement across untapped categories.

• Report directly to the Procurement & Supplier Management Director, receiving personalized mentorship and structured progression planning aimed at promotion within 12–18 months.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong track record in Indirect Procurement (Direct experience also considered).

• Deep understanding of contract law, negotiation, and procurement strategy.

• Excellent analytical, commercial, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Proven ability to manage end-to-end sourcing processes across multiple categories and projects.

• Degree from a leading university.

• Experience operating in a high-performance, commercial environment with credibility among senior stakeholders and legal advisors.
