Studio Manager

Description:

We're looking for a Studio Manager who gets it. Someone who understands that great work comes from great systems, and that the best creative happens when everything else just works.

You'll be our operational backbone—the person who makes sure projects flow smoothly, clients are happy, and our Creative Director can focus on what he does best: creating brands that matter.

But here's the thing: This is a startup environment where everyone wears multiple hats. One day you might be coordinating a packaging project, the next you could be helping with a client presentation, and the day after that you might be researching new freelancers or briefing a 3D artist. If you're looking for a clearly defined role with rigid boundaries, this isn't for you. If you're excited by variety and want to help build something special, let's talk.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing 5-8 simultaneous branding projects (because we're busy, and getting busier)
  • Being the main point of contact for day-to-day client communication
  • Coordinating our network of brilliant freelancers and specialists
  • Building the processes and systems that'll help us scale
  • Making sure everything we deliver exceeds expectations
  • Managing our own promotion of case studies
  • Plus chipping in here and there - because that's startup life

We work as a round table so everyone is encouraged to have a voice and input in the direction of projects as well as the direction of the company.

What We're Looking For

You've got the experience:

  • 3-5+ years at top-tier UK design agencies
  • Strong background in FMCG/food packaging projects
  • You know what good looks like, and you know how to get there

You've got the startup mindset:

  • Ready to roll your sleeves up and get in the trenches
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by possibility
  • You're obsessively organised but flexible when priorities shift
  • You thrive on variety and see challenges as opportunities
  • You want real ownership and impact on business success

You're a natural collaborator who:

  • Makes everyone's job easier
  • Can switch between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • Adapts quickly to changing needs and priorities
  • Takes initiative without being asked

Bonus points if (but not essential):

  • You've worked with sustainability-focused brands
  • You're based in Scotland (Glasgow area preferred)
  • You understand the unique challenges of working with food start-ups
  • You've experienced startup or scale-up environments before
