Supplier Quality Engineer

Butler Ross is seeking a skilled and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a leading engineering organization based in either Southampton or London. This position is ideal for a professional with a solid foundation in electronics or mechanical engineering, preferably gained within the maritime industry. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per year and includes one day of remote work per week, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of products and components supplied by external vendors, maintaining high standards in engineering performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and monitor the quality of suppliers and their products

• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with standards

• Investigate quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Collaborate with internal engineering and procurement teams

• Ensure all supplier processes align with organizational and industry quality standards

• Maintain documentation and prepare regular performance reports

Candidate Requirements:

• Solid experience in Electronics and/or Mechanical Engineering

• Exposure to or experience working in a maritime environment is essential

• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices

• Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems

• Excellent communication and coordination skills
