System Engineer

Description:

A high-profile Air Defence programme is seeking a System Engineer to join the Platform Communications Team. This role involves providing critical through-life support for the Platform Data Link Terminal (PDLT), a key subsystem within advanced defence technology.

Key Responsibilities:

⚙️ Conduct analysis and generate reports to enhance system capabilities.
🤝 Engage with stakeholders and technology specialists for seamless system integration.
🚀 Support the delivery of advanced weapon systems to UK and international defence partners.
🔍 Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in system operations.

Requirements:

✔ Strong experience in network communications and system integration.
✔ Proven ability in engineering product delivery and technical problem-solving.
✔ Familiarity with defence or secure communications environments.
✔ Hands-on experience with test and validation methodologies.
✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
✔ Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Desirable Skills:

➕ Experience with System Engineering Processes (Specification, Test & Integration).
➕ Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML/UML (preferably Rhapsody).
➕ Familiarity with Requirements Management Tools such as DOORS.
➕ Experience with Configuration Management Tools like Dimensions or RTC.
