Distinct is seeking a VAT Manager – Compliance to join their London-based hybrid team. As a VAT Manager, you’ll take ownership of onboarding new clients, managing VAT registrations, reviewing compliance outputs, and ensuring the delivery of advisory services that meet the highest technical standards. In addition to the technical aspects of the role, you will also support the development of junior staff through coaching, feedback, and regular performance sessions.

You will play a vital role in guiding clients through the intricacies of VAT compliance, writing advisory reports, and collaborating with other technical specialists to deliver best-in-class service. The firm values proactive contributions, and your insights and ideas will be encouraged and heard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead VAT registration and onboarding processes for clients operating across the EU

• Guide junior staff through mentorship, training, and performance development

• Review VAT returns and compliance outputs across multiple European jurisdictions

• Write advisory reports on UK, EU, and global VAT/GST topics in clear language

• Monitor VAT deadlines, assess risk, and manage profitability on ad hoc queries

• Contribute to internal management discussions and technical resource materials
