Therapy Support Worker

Description:

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and dedicated Therapy Support Worker to join their Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping children with physical disabilities and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support therapists in delivering routine assessments and interventions following the goal-setting process

• Work alongside therapists and independently carry out programmes of care for children with short and long-term disabilities or needs

• Liaise closely with therapists, support workers, health and social care professionals, patients, families, and carers

• Assist in administrative duties including equipment organisation and ordering, diary management, and creating therapy programmes

• Plan, prioritise, and delegate tasks according to patient and service needs

• Support the integrated team across a variety of locations

Requirements:

• Minimum NVQ 3 in Care or Teaching Assistant Level 3 or equivalent

• Experience working with children and young people

• Full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use (reasonable adjustments for disabled applicants in line with the Equality Act 2010)

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
