Veterinary Surgeon

Description:

Medivet Pype Hayes is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established practice alongside six experienced vets and a large nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of medical and surgical cases, with the support of a highly skilled team and access to advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment.

The practice is well-equipped with:
✅ Ultrasound scanner
✅ Digital X-ray
✅ Dedicated dental machine
✅ Experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon performing complex procedures

This role offers both full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time opportunities, with 2 in 5 Saturdays (9 AM - 4 PM).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional clinical care during consultations, procedures, and surgeries.
• Deliver clear and empathetic communication with clients, ensuring they understand treatment plans and costs.
• Ensure regulatory, practice, and operational compliance is maintained at the highest level.
• Develop tailored treatment plans for patients.
• Engage in mentoring and development of colleagues, supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures.
• Support and implement a progressive clinical culture within the practice.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless patient handovers and ongoing care.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the practice through knowledge sharing and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon with experience in small animal care.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding patient and client care.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and support colleagues.
• Experience in surgical and medical procedures.
• Ability to coach, influence, and enhance team performance.
