You’ll provide expert advice on trade and sanctions compliance, develop internal programs to ensure regulatory alignment, and support global business operations through in-depth legal guidance on import/export issues. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on trade compliance matters, staying updated on regulatory changes and helping organizations remain aligned with local and international laws

• Develop, implement, and monitor internal compliance programs that promote integrity and ethical business conduct

• Act as an advisory resource on sanctions, offering independent and strategic counsel on complex sanction-related issues

• Review and verify international trade documents, manage classification of products for tariffs, and assist with export licensing and other regulatory filings

• Support export compliance efforts during Trade Compliance audits

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years post-qualification experience (PQE) in trade compliance, gained in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department

• Strong legal judgment and proven ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally in fast-paced environments

• Must be authorized to practice law and reside in the UK

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a sense of urgency and professional maturity
