Trainee Manager

Description:

GHT Plastering Services Ltd, a well-established commercial and industrial finishes contractor with over 50 years of experience, is seeking a Trainee Manager/Surveyor to join their dedicated and dynamic team based in North Bristol. The company specializes in a variety of services including dry lining, partitioning, suspended ceilings, acoustic panelling, firestopping, and plastering within a 40-mile radius of Bristol.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who are passionate about pursuing a career in the construction industry. GHT welcomes applications from recent school leavers, college/university graduates, or individuals with hands-on trade experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documentation

• Contact suppliers to obtain quotations, procure materials, and hire plant

• Assist in managing daily project operations including planning, scheduling, and site coordination

• Monitor health & safety compliance across project sites

• Handle information management and generate site progress reports

• Prepare and issue accurate valuations to clients

• Provide administrative and on-site support to senior staff and site teams

• Perform general office duties including call handling, data input, and payroll systems

Eligibility Criteria:

• Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A*-C / 9-4, including Maths and English Language

• Valid, clean driving license

• Competence in IT systems and Microsoft Office

• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities

• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Demonstrates a proactive, respectful, and cooperative attitude

• Adaptable and capable of managing multiple tasks

Training & Development:
The training period will typically range from 2 to 4 years, depending on the candidate’s background. Full support will be provided to ensure continuous personal and professional growth.
