Redstone Commodity Search, a leading global recruitment firm specializing in commodities markets, is hiring for its client — an established trading house — to appoint a Vice President (VP) of Finance at their London office. This is a pivotal role suited for an experienced financial leader with expertise in managing complex financial operations within the trading or agricultural sector.

The VP of Finance will be responsible for scaling and leading the entire financial function of the business, ensuring robust systems, strong cash and treasury management, and insightful financial reporting for stakeholders including the board and investors. This is a highly hands-on role requiring a leader who can both execute and strategize in a dynamic, fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all core financial operations including accounting, budgeting, reconciliations, and real-time cash flow oversight.

• Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting, handling AR/AP, payroll, month-end closing, and ledger management using platforms like Xero.

• Design and implement internal financial controls and documentation standards; ensure audit readiness.

• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, financial reports, KPI dashboards, and strategic insights for board and investor communications.

• Manage liquidity and treasury across a complex multi-currency structure, including trade finance, credit insurance, and compliance with funding processes.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles, ideally in fertilizer, agriculture, or trading sectors.

• Proficiency in accounting systems like Xero, with practical experience managing AR/AP, payroll, and financial closing.

• Strong experience in cash and treasury management, particularly in multi-currency environments.

• Deep understanding of trade finance and investor relations, with a track record of supporting fundraising and reporting cycles.

• Must be located in London and able to work onsite.
