Charity Mentors Kent and Medway is seeking a Volunteer Trustee Treasurer to play a critical role in ensuring the financial sustainability and strategic development of our organization. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced finance professional to contribute meaningfully to the growth and effectiveness of charity leadership across the region.

About Charity Mentors Kent and Medway:
We are a dynamic organization connecting experienced mentors with charity leaders throughout Kent and Medway. Our goal is to empower nonprofit leaders with strategic guidance, helping them to improve their services and enhance their impact on the communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial oversight and expert advice to the board

• Evaluate funding opportunities and advise on sustainable income strategies

• Ensure financial compliance and sustainability through sound fiscal planning

• Guide the development of new income streams and assist in fundraising strategy

• Participate in quarterly online board meetings (90 minutes each, typically in the early evening)

• Optional participation in mentor meetings to gain a deeper understanding of the organization’s frontline impact

• Engage flexibly depending on availability for additional support

• Understanding of charity finance and compliance, including reporting and governance

• Familiarity with the charity funding landscape, grant applications, and donor engagement
