Warehouse Apprentice

Description:

Howdens is offering an exciting opportunity to join their award-winning apprenticeship scheme as a Warehouse Apprentice. This role provides comprehensive on-the-job training combined with expert support from a leading training provider while pursuing a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship lasts approximately 12 to 15 months.

Responsibilities:

• Engage professionally and courteously with customers

• Maintain stock efficiently while adhering to strict health and safety regulations

• Perform general housekeeping tasks, including stock rotation and cleanliness

• Conduct security and compliance checks on incoming and outgoing stock with accuracy

• Perform daily checks on forklift trucks and mechanical equipment, reporting defects promptly

• Ability to work independently and use initiative

• Good planning and organisational abilities

• Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively

• A strong desire for personal and professional development

• Right to work in the UK with evidence

Apprenticeship Details:

• Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship (Intermediate Level)

• Training provided by Howdens’ Learning & Development Team and external providers

• 15-month program, including minimum 12 months learning and an end-point assessment

• Support for apprentices needing to achieve Level 1 English and Maths before Level 2 assessments
